In Pakistan, minority Christian families face harsh choices, particularly in the unregulated brick kiln industry. Desperate for work, they are vulnerable and have few options to care for their families, making them easy targets for exploitation.

Already poor to begin with, many families' only choice is to borrow money from brick kiln managers to pay for medical bills or other emergency expenses.

What many families don't realize is that these loans are designed to prey on the most vulnerable. They are difficult to pay off due to high interest and garnished wages. Families end up becoming slaves for the rest of their lives ... and their children's lives.
