Urban Alternative, former chaplain of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks & Dallas
Cowboys, author of over 125 books, booklets and Bible studies. The first
African American to earn a doctorate of theology from Dallas Theological
Seminary, he has been named one of the 12 Most Effective Preachers in the
English-Speaking World by Baylor University.
Dr. Evans also holds the honor of writing and

Bible Gateway Plus is a paid subscription service that provides members access to premium Bible study resources and a banner ad-free Scripture reading experience on Bible Gateway. These study tools are available to you through your web browser from any computer, tablet or phone as well as in the Bible Gateway app.
Can I try Bible Gateway Plus before joining?
New members can try Bible Gateway Plus free for 14 days. Note that while you must sign up to experience the free trial, you can cancel at any time during the 14-day trial period without being charged.

How much does Bible Gateway Plus membership cost?
Bible Gateway Plus membership costs $4.99 USD per month, or $49.99 USD per year. Note that previous members are not eligible for the free trial. Additional sales tax may apply.
How do I use my Bible Gateway Plus membership?
Once you become a member, simply log in to Bible Gateway and look up any Bible passage. Your Bible Gateway Plus study material is available in the Resources tab to the right of the Bible text—all of the included content is available alongside the Scripture you wish to study, as long as you are logged into your account. Your exclusive premium devotionals can be found on the Devotionals page. And the NIV Reverse Interlinear Bible can be applied directly to the Bible text by checking the box in the page options on any passage page when you are using the New International Version.
Do I need a Bible Gateway account to use Bible Gateway Plus?
Yes, a free Bible Gateway account is required to subscribe to and use Bible Gateway Plus. You must be logged into your account to access Bible Gateway Plus content. A Bible Gateway account is free and takes just a moment to create—and you can create one during the Bible Gateway Plus subscription process if you like. Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes. To cancel your Bible Gateway Plus membership, simply go to your Account Settings page, scroll down to the Bible Gateway Plus section, and click the button to cancel. From your Account Management page, you can also change your subscription type to monthly or yearly.
Do I have to subscribe to Bible Gateway Plus to access Bible study resources at Bible Gateway?
Not necessarily—we do have free Bible study materials available that do not require a Bible Gateway Plus subscription. These resources are also available in the Resources tab. However, we think the Bible Gateway Plus titles add significantly to the Bible study experience on Bible Gateway, and we encourage you to try them out with your free Bible Gateway Plus trial.
If I cancel my membership before the end of my free trial, will my credit card be charged?
No. However, the free trial is specified for one time use for new members only. Payment information and election of monthly or annual plan required. When trial is over, subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours in advance of renewal date.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my Bible Gateway Plus membership?
You can get a refund as long as your request for a refund comes within five days of your membership renewal date. To cancel your membership, access your account profile on Bible Gateway and follow the appropriate prompts. Then, send an email to plus@biblegateway.com requesting a refund.
